PSALM AIG leaders and its members from different schools and campuses in Koronadal City, South Cotabato gathered for their Back to School Fellowship themed “Take It Off” last June 22 in Praise City Christian Alliance Fellowship (PCCAF) Inc. Church to uphold PSALM Ministry students and also evangelize the newly Freshmen students.
The dialogue was organized by Elvie Jane M. Ungos, Del Jane C. Nillos, and the committee; and was an event conducted by its members.
Over a sum of 80 Alumni, school youth, freshmen, and as well with other higher school year level were acquainted.
The spokesperson was Ms. Marilou Villas, who happened to be the previous PSALM Marbel Director.
It started off with cheers and laughter as the game progressed.
The main activity consisted of introduction of the new students, followed by video, music, and dance presentations.
Prayer and testimonies were also included along with the message, and distribution of plaque of appreciation for the new comers and speaker.
As the speaker said, “We all like to look good, to make a good impression, and to show everyone else we have it all together, even though none of us do. The only way pull this off is to put something else on. That something is called a Mask.
A mask can help you to get a job. It can make you look smarter, and more date-able. We use our mask to impress others, to fool people, and even to protect the feelings of the people we love. We all wear mask from time to time but the craziest place to put them on is in church. Something about it makes us want to look our best, sound likely the best, and make life as if everything is perfect.
But behind every perfect mask is a perfectly messed up life. People are empty, confused, addicted, hopeless, helpless, and hurting. People who thought are being hated, unaccepted, and unforgiven. But here’s the thing, this is exactly the kind of life that God shows up. Messes are His’ specialty.
The one thing He can’t work with is a mask. So around here, it’s okay not to be okay. Nobody’s perfect but grace is available. “We all like to look good, like to make a good impression, but when it comes to God, the best impression you could make is to just be you.”
